We have a thriving competition comprising of a Premier League and Divisions 1 - 4 catering for all standards of cricketer . I became Vice-Chairman at the 1988 AGM and became Chairman in 1993 so have served on the committee for 25 years . During those years the League has seen many changes most notably the formation of the County ECB Premier League and the subsequent loss of one or two sides to that competition however, we still have a strongly competitive League with most Divisional Championships not being decided until the very last week of the season . All this is made possible by clubs continuing to work extremely hard to improve all aspects of their game from Junior Coaching to pitch and ground care . The League is held together by a committee dedicated to keeping standards high from fixtures to discipline. Our 50th Anniversary saw us hold our Awards Dinner at Hemswell Court with Paul Smith ( ex Warwicks ) the Guest Speaker and a T20 day at Louth CC one of the finest grounds in the County. This year our Awards Dinner was held at the same venue and we were honoured to have Derek Randall (England and Nottinghamshire) as the Guest Speaker. As someone who was sceptical about electronic result reporting I must say that I am in total favour of the system and thoroughly applaud the efforts of Play Cricket .
